Over the years, I have come to understand that my leadership style encompasses three concepts. 1. Humble Swagger – It is important to ride a fine line of being confident in your own skills and the skills of those around you and to have the humility that you are in a place of learning while seeking to find ways to continuously improve. 2. Guiding Principles – It takes time but when you understand your style, values and skill set you can start to articulate those as principles to those you lead. It allows people to understand your leadership style and various degrees of your expectations of those you lead. Also, it becomes a moral compass for you. If you stray from your principles, you are likely to be unsuccessful. 3. Balance of the three P’s – People, Process, Performance. These three items are my areas of success. You need all three to be successful. Leadership Mission Statement: As a leader, I serve those around me with a sense of humility and Grace of God in order to change the world in a positive way.
